Ruby is seen in Episode two at a booth for the AV club at Sacred Heart High School. She offers to help August with his project "What Texas Means to Me". August is later revealed to have a crush on her, though she has yet to reciprocate. She joined August when he went to confront his father in Duke, and joined August on a trip to Laredo to film the soccer game in Tracks. She appears to have a potential relationship with the newest AV Club member, Todd, much to August's dismay.
